Description

Tynung Papayas are football-shaped, elongated fruit. They have a green outer skin that turns yellow as the fruit matures while the inner flesh is pink-red in color. This type of papaya contains numerous small and round black seeds that sit in a large central cavity. Though the seeds are edible they have a peppery taste and are often removed before the fruit is eaten. The fruit tastes sweet, juicy and has a melon-like flavor.

Description

"Maradol papayas are large, elongated fruits just like the Tynung papaya but instead have a yellow skin often covered in green specks. The thin, leathery skin will become yellow and then orange when the fruits are fully ripe, and the salmon-pink or red inner flesh is firm yet soft and has a musky scent. It is juicy and sweet, with a mild flavor. Though the seeds are edible they have a peppery taste and are often removed before the fruit is eaten just like the Tynung. "
